One thing that a digital comic creator needs is fonts – and lots of them. Fortunately, one great source for comic book fonts is Blambot. They serve up a wide variety of comic book fonts for dialogue, design, sound effects, and symbols. A number of industry comic book labels – like Dark Horse, Marvel, DC, and more – use Blambot fonts for their publications. Blambot releases two new fonts each month – one free and one pro. All the fonts I use on Reclaimer have come from Blambot, and they go a long way toward making the comic experience much more interesting. If you’re a comic creator, I’d highly recommend you check out what Blambot has to offer and download any and all of the free fonts that interest you. The pro fonts series usually cost about $20 apiece, so if there’s one there that interests you, then it’s probably worth the cost. Make sure to check back on their site periodically for new fonts – and get to lettering those comics.
